Sizing

Collars:

To ensure an accurate fit, please snuggly measure the circumference of your dog's neck where you want the collar to sit. Ideally, the size should be close to the middle measurement of our collars, if your dog is within one inch of the collar size, size down or up accordingly. All our sizes are measured in inches (").

Harnesses:

To ensure an accurate fit, please snuggly measure the circumference of your dog's neck and chest. Our harnesses are ideal for medium to large size dogs. Our harness sizes are based on chest size.

Care Instructions

BioThane is extremely easy to care for. Simply wipe away dirt with a cloth or wash with soap and water. To disinfect, dab with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Keep away from extreme heat or fire. Do not use bug repellent on product. Avoid harsh cleaners and chemicals as this can cause breakdown of the material and hardware.

BioThane is a polyester webbing with a PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean, and is made in the U.S.A.

Exactyly the harness I was looking for

I was looking for a waterproof harness which would be adjustable at the neck as well as at the chest. The Backwoods Dog Y-harness is adjustable also along the chest (to the neck). It is easy to put on and off, since it opens on both side at the chest. Backwoods Dog provided a harness with a suitable adjust range for my dog, who was at the top end of their described medium size. They were very helpful and the service was fast and efficient.
The negative of the harness is that it is heavier than our other 2 harnesses - this would be the cost of the adjustability. The metal fittings are also quite large - but the harness fits well and is suited to its purpose, which for us will primarily be to use in rain. Our other harnesses do have a restraining handle which I will miss on the Backwoods Dog harness, but this is less important on really rainy days when there will be fewer triggers around. I am expecting a good life-span from the harness and look forward to using it more.

Très beau matériel très qualitatif et très belles couleurs !! Si j'avais eu le budget j'aurais acheté toute la collection !!🙈🙈 Service client au TOP merci encore mille fois d'avoir fait le nécessaire pour récupérer mon colis que le transporteur avait livré à la mauvaise adresse !! Seul petit bémol qu'un jour vous pourriez peut-être réussir à améliorer : je trouve les colliers et les harnais un petit peu lourds et c'est dommage de ne pas pouvoir avoir de poignée sur la taille M du harnais... Un jour peut-être ? Mais en tout cas tout le reste, je recommande c'est sûr !! =)

Y Harness

If you are shopping for a new harness. Please stop and purchase a harness from Backwoods Dog. Highly recommend the Y harness. Built strong, will definitely last, easy to put on and take off, adjustable and fits perfectly. We opted for the reflective blue and even the reflective material is superior to anything else we have come across. Also looking forward to a "stench" free harness once summer swimming season starts. Our Lab loves

Our 3 yr old lab loves to swim in the lake which is almost daily. Had this for 3 weeks now and it is great. Dries quickly and no stink! Yet. Is is heavier than other harnesses, but that does seem to deter our dog. If it stands up to the test of time, it will be worth the $$.
