I purchased two Backwoods Dog 1” Martingale collars in February 2024 and both are still in great condition! They’ve been my go-to for both my Labradors, who regularly swim, roll in mud, wrestle and tug on their leashes, yet both collars look nearly brand new! I love that they don’t hold onto moisture, which means they last longer, don’t develop a smell and I don’t need to worry about my boys developing skin irritation due to dampness. I highly recommend Backwoods Dog collars, they’ve proven to be a great investment based on how long they last!

Ordered two martingales- one without the buckle and one with. I’m really impressed. They feel high quality and heavy duty. My husband wasn’t originally happy when I ordered them, as he wanted leather and didn’t trust that biothane could pull the look off. Well, I love being right and he loves these collars. He said they look like leather but even better. I ran a nonprofit rescue for a decade and have seen and used 100’s if not thousands of collars. These might be my favourite yet. Won’t hesitate to order again.
We’ve had our collar for about a year now, still just as beautiful as the day it arrived but our boy is a puller and the brass is soft, the ring has deformed due to the pulling and we’ll be going back to the stainless steel style we had before.
Had a hard time finding high quality collars and harnesses for my big pyr and these are absolutely perfect! Beautifully made, strong enough for her, and I love the material.
Love these collars. Dogs are stylin. Excellent quality. Won’t need to purchase a new one when they are older. Will last their lifetimes. Exceptional customer service. 10/10 recommend.
