To ensure an accurate fit, please snuggly measure the circumference of your dog's neck where you want the collar to sit. Ideally, the size should be close to the middle measurement of our collars, if your dog is within one inch of the collar size, size down or up accordingly. All our sizes are measured in inches (").

Harnesses:

To ensure an accurate fit, please snuggly measure the circumference of your dog's neck and chest. Our harnesses are ideal for medium to large size dogs. Our harness sizes are based on chest size.

BioThane is extremely easy to care for. Simply wipe away dirt with a cloth or wash with soap and water. To disinfect, dab with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Keep away from extreme heat or fire. Do not use bug repellent on product. Avoid harsh cleaners and chemicals as this can cause breakdown of the material and hardware.

BioThane is a polyester webbing with a PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean, and is made in the U.S.A.

Trying to find the perfect collar

Proud owner of a house hippo or more formerly known as a South African Borbal. She wieghs in at 156lbs and has a 28 inch neck. If you look at a borbal you will note that thier heads are smaller than thier necks. So keeping a collar on when they lower thier heads is a challenge. This collar (martingale) has stayed on even with a foot plant. Easy to clean along with no odor issues is also a great feature. Now we will see about the durability.

1” Waterproof BioThane Adjustable Martingale Collar

I was excited about the 1” Waterproof BioThane Adjustable Martingale Collar—it’s a great concept and somewhat well-made, though I’m not a fan of the plastic buckles. Unfortunately, the black hardware stains my dog’s white fur, making it unusable for us. While I love the idea of the collar, I’d recommend it more for dogs with darker coats.
